In Switzerland, payrolling is governed under the term “Employment service leasing”. However, the principle remains the same.
This is a tripartite contract between the consultant, the company requiring the service and the payrolling company.
Each party enters into a contract:
1. The consultant signs an employment contract with the payrolling company. This contract may be for a fixed or indefinite duration depending on the assignment.
– The assignment defines the scope of work provided by the consultant for the company, the duration of the engagement and the consultant’s overall remuneration.
2. The company signs a service agreement with the payrolling company. This contract outlines the assignment, the consultant’s identity and the total remuneration paid by the company.
3. The payrolling company receives payment for the services provided and calculates the corresponding salary to be paid to the consultant.
